AGP 9 rejects the standalone Kotlin plugin, so v0.5.5 removed the alias from app/build.gradle.kts and the version catalog — but the root build file also declared it with `apply false`, leaving an unresolved catalog reference that only CI hit. The local build had passed on a stale configuration-cache entry that never recompiled the root script; verified here with a clean build and --no-configuration-cache.
