</dd></dl><p><b>ppDeviceName: </b>A pointer to a variable that receives
the device name of the disk.</p><p><b>Return Values: </b>The method MUST return zero to
indicate success, or return an implementation-specific nonzero error code to
indicate failure.</p><p>When the server receives this message, it MUST validate the
following parameter:</p><ul><li><p><span><span> 
</span></span>Verify that <i>ppDeviceName</i> is not NULL.</p>

disk</a> is an attached state, <i>ppDeviceName</i> MUST be set to the device
name of the disk associated with the virtual disk. For details on the attached
state of a virtual disk, see VDS_VDISK_STATE section <a href="d1ff9fd9-9527-4936-91c2-292bd9d1ff17" data-linktype="relative-path">2.2.2.19.1.1</a>.</p>

</span></span>If the virtual disk is not in an attached state, <i>ppDeviceName</i>
MUST be set to NULL.</p>
