<div class="content"><p> </p><p>The <b>FAX_GetJob (Opnum 5)</b> method is called by the
client to retrieve information regarding a specific job. The job is specified
by the <i>JobId</i> parameter. The value for the <i>JobId</i> parameter can be
obtained using one of the following methods: <b>FAX_EnumJobs</b> (section <span><a href="6516d564-e0b8-4f19-80b1-70f27eca7f16" data-linktype="relative-path">3.1.4.1.21</a></span>),
<b>FAX_EnumJobsEx</b> (section <span><a href="c65fa0d0-dc19-4aec-b83a-b5b82d70c6d9" data-linktype="relative-path">3.1.4.1.22</a></span>), or <b>FAX_EnumJobsEx2</b> (section
<span><a href="cec559b7-44b6-47a9-b402-7dc5af788f44" data-linktype="relative-path">3.1.4.1.23</a></span>).</p><p>In response, the server MUST validate that the job
identified by <i>JobId</i> exists in the <span><a href="46aba9c4-ebb1-4b10-86ac-4bb3025657b9#gt_0c5e7185-40c3-4e58-a8ac-7626ed078235" data-linktype="relative-path">fax queue</a></span>. The
server MUST validate that the client&#39;s fax user account has access to query the
job identified by <i>JobId</i> as follows:</p><ul><li><p><span><span> 
</span></span>If the job is for an outgoing fax, the client&#39;s fax user account
MUST be the owner of the job or have FAX_ACCESS_QUERY_OUT_JOBS access rights.</p>
</li><li><p><span><span> 
</span></span>If the job is for an incoming fax, the client&#39;s fax user account
MUST have the FAX_ACCESS_MANAGE_RECEIVE_FOLDER access rights or the incoming
faxes MUST be public.</p>
</li></ul><p>On success, the server MUST return the job information of
the specified job.</p><p>The client SHOULD free the returned buffer.</p><dl>

or active <span><a href="46aba9c4-ebb1-4b10-86ac-4bb3025657b9#gt_9369467f-ee6b-427f-9d5c-f9cacc40ae66" data-linktype="relative-path">fax job</a></span>.</p><p><b>Buffer: </b>A pointer to the address of a buffer
to receive a <b>_FAX_JOB_ENTR</b>Y (section <span><a href="cfe03605-eaad-43e2-b287-34cda0ccbdbc" data-linktype="relative-path">2.2.6)</a></span> structure.</p><p><b>BufferSize: </b>A variable to return the size, in
bytes, of the job information buffer.</p><p><b>Return Values: </b>This method MUST return
0x00000000 (ERROR_SUCCESS) for success; otherwise, it MUST return one of the
following error codes, one of the fax-specific errors that are defined in
section <span><a href="cbe6c4fb-4dda-4f6c-9701-0d490ba0d105" data-linktype="relative-path">2.2.52</a></span>, or one of
the other standard errors defined in <span><a href="../ms-erref/1bc92ddf-b79e-413c-bbaa-99a5281a6c90" data-linktype="relative-path">[MS-ERREF]</a></span>
